Warrior = Fighter Henchie. Gee, wonder why I chose that one. I've had a few party members think I was actually a henchman at first glance, which I found amusing.
Necromancer = Shalebridge Cradle. Creepiest video game moment ever? I think so.
Monk = Deadly Rice. I dunno, it sounded ridiculous at the time, so I liked it.
Don't have a permanent character in my 4th slot, always making new stuff.

Well... there is some weird logic behind my character names but it makes perfect sense to me. First of all, I am trying to learn the Korean language and in the process have fallen in love with the Korean people (awesome culture, good food, stunningly beautiful people). I also love the Lost TV show. I also don't want to confuse my guildies. And I want to identify by class. Long criteria, huh?
Anyway, my two fav characters on Lost are of course the Koreans Sun and Jin... which gave me my name Sunjin. That starts all my characters. So...
Sunjin Moon - Necromancer. When else would you perform deathly rituals than under a moon.
Sunjin Bane - Warrior. No explanation needed.
Sunjin Mistwalker - Assassin
Sunjin Spiritbinder - Ritualist
Sunjin Stormborn - Air Elementalist
Last one is the only one that doesn't fit. I love George R.R. Martin's books and couldn't think of better name for my Ranger than Lady Mormont. Her spider is called Varys which fans of the books will instantly recognize. If I change to bear for a pet I will call him Jeor.
I need help.

I chose Feminist Terrorist to get people stirred up, thinking, and to see what kind of prejudices would emerge. Women seem to enjoy the name, and boys tend to get riled up, offended, and call me a femnazi. I just laugh. I liked the name so much I started a series of characters: Monastic Terrorist and Eco Terrorist. Eco has recently been remade for Factions, and her pet's name is Ralph Nader.

Well, my ranger is David Lionmaster because I was just throwing out random names, and my friend especially hated that one, so I named my character that out of spite.
My necro is named Mr. Bartoch after the coolest npc in the game, Bartoch, who is the skill trainer in Drok. My pvp character is named Bartoch Got Skillz.
My assasin is named Antwan Portillo, because I wanted something completely random and different, and that was the best I could think of at the time. People seem to enjoy this name.

My characters:
1. Ranger: Miss Magrat, straigth from Terry Pratchett's novel.
2. Monk: Cleric Nadine, cleric came from old MTG times or smthg. Nadine was taken from novel by Stephen King.
3. Warrior: Ma Oon Nadine, original form as Mä Oon Nadine, "Mä Oon" just means I am, so this names means: I Am Nadine.

100% Priceless.
I love anything that, um... ahem... in people's Cheerios, esp. when it's carried off with such finesse and flair.
And the Ralph Nader reference is just icing on the cake. Made my night!

My main screen name is R A C, short for Radioactive Cheese. I got that from combining a couple different results from a screen name generator. So I named my main character that. Seems like every few times I join a PUG I get complimented on it. I couldn't be bothered to be creative with my next characters, so my necro is Radioactive Decay, and my warrior is Radioactive Boots. I made an assassin, Radioactive Blades, but he's still lvl 3, couldn't be bothered to play him much yet. Same with my monk, lvl 2, can't actually remember his name, Radioactive something though. PVP is R A C.

lol, ya I guess I could see why that would stir up some people. But I guess chauvinism isn't too well liked by either gender. The other ones are kind of funny too.

I useually like having names with meanings....they're pretty basic, but hey.
IE:
Ritualist - Diviner From Beyond
Monk/Necro - Divine Eulogy ( I like that name a lot xD)
The others are named after my RP characters for Arcana Unearthed:
Elementalist: Djurmi Duuseldorf (Runethane - Faen)
Warrior: Ry Karthen (Champion of Peace- Giant)
etcetc.

Leon-I just like the name,
Wyvern-one of the largest types of dragons...large enough to pick up an elephant to take somewhere else to eat.
That's my Necro's name and I chose Wyvern as a surname to depict that my Necro is a powerful force to reckon with.
Arch Duvlience-Death is Dependent
Name for my Warrior, death is dependent on the weapon.

Ah, another character name thread. Wasn't there one of these just last month? Or year? I've seen so many of them come and go...
But since I enjoy them, I'll pitch in once more. My original three characters (who have birthday gifts coming to them in the near future) were named somewhat erratically, as were the three other hypothetical ones I planned out at the time. I've since performed etymologies on them, but they're largely meaningless. I also made up bios for them at some point (I don't even remember when), because, hey, you've gotta do something on the school bus.
The first character I created was El Pardak, of www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail119.html fame. Technically it should be El Pardack, but that looks bad. He's your stereotypical whammo - tall, broad, and stolid. He's from the old city of Surmia, so Charr are nothing new to him.
Next, Aayla Darana, E/Me extraordinaire. She's always been my favorite. Some dubious etymology puts the meaning of her name as "fertile heaven", but it's a stretch. She was the daughter of a family of nobles in Rin, and was sent to Surmia at an early age (where she met El Pardak, incidentally).
My Ranger/Elementalist is Alyssa Kintara, which as it turns out is amazingly pretentious. She was born in a hut in a small village in the foothills of the Shiverpeaks in western Ascalon, but apparently her parents didn't know their book of names all too well - hers means Noblewoman of Royal Power.
The three others I made up at the time were Kalia Dena, Necromancer, Daneel Coron, Mesmer, and Arko Telari, Monk. Though I've decided since to change my as-yet-uncreated necromancer (hello slots for sale this summer) to Layla Zaina (Beautiful Night) to get that middle-eastern flair ready in anticipation for future chapters.
Daneel I have since created; his background places him firmly from the southern reaches of Ascalon, where temperatures run high and every so often a hot wind from the Crystal Desert will sweep through, etching itself into the stonewrought public buildings. The winds inspired him to become an elementalist, but a few talks with Vassar once he entered the Academy convinced him otherwise.
Of course, Factions brought up a whole new set of possibilities. I've created two characters in it and a template for a third. I don't know the lore well enough yet to craft them convincing backstories, but I assume I will at some point.
My lovely ritualist is Ai Emi, which is Japanese for Love and Beauty. Good old bald Vien An is a pseudo-vietnamese Monk whose name means Complete Peace in that language.
So that's the lot of 'em. Tada!

(this was on another thread)
Pardon the kanji it doesn't make sense... I was messing around with his name and just added it there cuz it looks cool ;p (As action jack point out in the other thread, the first kanji is off by a bit... my apologies)
the first Kanji is "Ten" which means "Heaven"
Second Kanji is "Shinobi" (ninja)
I wanted the name Tenshinobi to be kind of like a parody between 3 japanese words, and a number: Ten (Heaven), Ten (number 10), Tenshi (Angel) and Shinobi (ninja)... I wanted the name to have different meanings ;p
- can also be read as having strength equal to 10 shinobi
- the last name Kumo means "Spider" or "Cloud" in japanese... Originally I wanted the last name "Kumogakure" (hidden in the clouds) but figured it was too long ;p
Soooo, this is how I came about naming him "Tenshinobi Kumo"

Hokay, where to start?
I started off thinking along the lines of a "proper" RP name. I came up with Kedric for no other reason that it sounded roleplayish. Struggled with surnames for a while, then decided to go with humour.
The word twat used as a verb is NW English slang for "to smite; smack; do damage to" (correct me if I'm wrong, Scousers; but see Craig Charles in Red Dwarf!)
So, Kedric Trolltwatter, Kedric Yetitwatter and, because of an unending series of similar drops; Kedric Planttwatter.
Also have a Melandru's Stalker called Rattwatter.
After playing for a few months and getting fed up with ageist behaviour in random PuGs, I started another theme;
Old Man Trigger (Monk, using my lifelong nickname (predates Fools and Horses, Brits!))
Old Man Messy (Mesmer)
Old Man Woman (Ele - to confuse the pubescent!)
All of the above because I'm 42.
Finally, I was a member of an Australian guild for a short while, so I rolled Dinkum Dunny Diver in their honour (ask an Aussie!)
Er, the less said about my short-lived necro, Far Coffandye, the better

I'm Italian and almost all my characters have Italian names and they are all female!
My first character was a warrior and I called her Angelica Liata, Angelica is from an medioeval Italian poem: "Orlando Furioso", where she is a female warrior. The surname just sounded alright.
Maga Maghella - is my elementalist the name is from an Italian Disney's character and it means little sorceress.
Fior Di Loto - is my monk and I think the "Lotus Flower" is an appropriate name for a nice female monk!
Rosamunda Of Rose - my necro was named this because with my guild we were building a group of 8 black necros all with the same surnames and the same coloured armours to do GvG battle! Later on this was abandoned but I kept the character!
Nathaleia Skywalker - she ia a ranger and the surname tells all!
Fior Da Liso - is a faction warrior and I decided to continue with the flowers names so in English her name should be Bluebottle!
Fior Ella - a faction Ranger, in Italy this is a proper name; Fiorella that means little flower!

Zorian Direspell - This was the name of the first computer RP caster character I ever made, Zorian Direspell, Elf Sorcerer, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn. I have named every blasting caster the same ever since (on a side note, his avatar actually looks the same as his old BGII avatar ... minus the long ears.)
Talon Brand - My mes/war's name. Never leveled him past 16, but someday I want to cap IW and make my fencer type warrior (honestly, I find that mes/war's are as damaging as assassins when all goes well ... you just need to rely on more than one skill). Oh, and I gave him his name back when I first got prophecies and didn't know if I wanted an Ele or a Mes. So no, he isn't named after that Silverwing chap. :P
Kage No Tsume - My Assassin. Means "Shadow's Talon" in my likely pidgeon Japanese. Thought he would be like a mes/war, so I dropped the Talon in there. Not quite what I was expecting.
That's it. I've had other characters, but they've gone the way of the dodo (gogo delete button).

My new character is called:
Second Effort
Second Effort is what people calls him and now he uses it more than his real name. His full name is "Asom For".
Why he got his name.. it's because he tries very hard when trying to succeed! Normally succeeding on the second try.
His slogan: "Second Effort is always better than the first!".
